Motel 6 robbed at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are investigating an early-morning robbery at a Lexington motel.

Police say a man with a bandanna over his face walked into the Motel 6 on Elkhorn Drive just before 4 a.m. carrying a nickel-plated revolver.

They say the man demanded money from the clerk.

He took off after getting it.

Police say K9 units lost his track in the parking lot of the nearby Quality Inn.

They believe he got into a car and left.

Police are going over surveillance video from the motel.
