Man found passed out, arrested for trafficking marijuana

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – According to the Madison County Sheriff’s office, Deputies were called after a man was seen “passed out” at a gas station around 6 a.m. on January 16th.

The two deputies arrived at the Marathon gas station on Cannon Corner, and located the man in question. They talked to him, and identified him as 23 year old Danny Peters. While talking to Peters, one of the deputies said the inside of the vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana.

They searched the vehicle, and seized approximately 35 ounces of marijuana, as well as money totaling $509.

Sheriff Mike Coyle reported that Danny Peters was arrested, charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Public Intoxication.
