Some minor damage as storms move through
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There was some minor damage as a strong line of showers and storms moved across central Kentucky late Tuesday afternoon into early evening.
A stretch of Clays Mill Road in Lexington was temporarily closed after a tree fell across the road, which also led to sporadic power outages and dark traffic signals.
No injuries were reported.
The National Weather Service issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in several counties, including Fayette, as the storms moved through the area.
Cooler and drier weather is forecast for Wednesday and beyond.
