Midway University celebrates Homecoming court with weekend events

MIDWAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Midway University hosted its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend on September 17-18.
The busy weekend included a comedy show, movie night, academic showcase sessions, lunch on the lawn with a DJ and games as well as home volleyball and soccer games.
Families also were able to enjoy the Midway Fall Festival in downtown Midway.
During the Saturday home soccer games, the Homecoming Court nominees and their escorts were recognized between games. The Royal Court was then announced, and the honorees were Jalyn Jackson (sophomore), Raegan Stevens (junior) and the senior Grand Eagle was Isaiah McDougal.
Homecoming nominees are solicited from the students at Midway University from the sophomore, junior and senior class. Then faculty, staff and students vote the week prior to homecoming to select the Royal Court. The senior nominee who earns the most votes is named the Homecoming Grand Eagle.
