‘A Midsummer Night’s Run’ is Saturday in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington’s only downtown nighttime race will be run for the 33rd year Saturday, August 12, 2017.

Baptist Health presents ‘A Midsummer Night’s Run.’

The night begins with the Fastest Kid in Town race (ages 3 and up) at 4:30 p.m.

The One-Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 6:30 p.m.

The 5K main event is at 8:00 p.m.

There will be some temporary street closures for the events:

4-9 p.m.: Limestone at Vine Street, Main Street at Martin Luther King Boulevard, Upper Street at Second Street, Short Street from Limestone to Martin Luther King Boulevard.

6-9 p.m.: Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street

6-11 p.m.: Midland Avenue from Third Street to Main Street.

8-11 p.m.: Main Street and Richmond Road from Mill Street to Chinoe Road, Limestone from Vine to Barr streets, Upper Street from Second to Vine streets, Esplanade, DeWeese Street from Short to Main streets, Rose Street from High to Short streets, Vine Street detoured onto Old Vine Street.
