Mercer County crime crackdown results in more than 30 arrests

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A crime crackdown in July called ‘Operation Ice Storm’ resulted in 43 warrants and 34 arrests by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they targeted drug trafficking and stolen property, which they say, often go hand-in-hand.

Investigators say they seized two guns; 737 grams of crystal meth with a street value of $44,200; 226 grams of heroin with a street value of $45,200; more than 200 prescription pills and cash.

In addition to guns, drugs and cash, several vehicles and property were seized during the operation, according to deputies.
