Mercer County under burn ban

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Mercer County Fire Department issued a burn ban Saturday in effect until further notice.

Due to the current dry conditions, an outside burn ban is currently in place, according to the firefighters.

This includes but not limited to: residential fire pits (homemade or manufactured pits), wood piles, brush or other yard waste.

According to the Mercer County Fire Department, calls have already come in about small controlled fires getting out of hand.
