MCSO: Driver pulled from car before it explodes

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office says that a man was pulled from his car just before it exploded.

They say the man was traveling on US 127  near Harrodsburg Monday morning — when he went off the road and into the median.

Deputies say the car rolled, trapping the man inside, then it caught fire.

They say he was conscious when they got on scene.

Harrodsburg Police Officers quickly cut the man’s seat belt and pulled him out of  the car.

They say moments later, the car exploded.

The victim was flown to the hospital in Louisville.

ABC 36 was told he suffered serious burns and other life-threatening injuries.
