McConnell to run radio ads promoting vaccine
WASHINGTON (WTVQ) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says he plans on running radio ads promoting the coronavirus vaccine.
Reuters reports the senator, who was vaccinated in Decemeber, will run 60 second radio ads on more than 100 Kentucky stations in the next several days.
“Not enough people are vaccinated,” said Sen. McConnell. “So we’re trying to get them to reconsider and get back on the path to get us to some level of herd immunity.”
According to Reuters, the funding will come from his re-election campaign.
The organization also reports McConnell blames misinformation for low vaccination rates.
