Mayor-elect of Stanford dies
STANFORD, Ky. (AP) — A man elected to become the mayor in a small central Kentucky city has died.
Stanford Police Chief Keith Middleton told The Advocate-Messenger (http://bit.ly/1BUPKyu) that Mayor-elect T.J. Hill died Thursday at his home.
The newspaper reports Hill won the Nov. 5 election over the incumbent and another challenger by a substantial margin.
He would have taken office on Jan. 1.
Middleton says foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.
