Matt Bevin Running For Governor
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ Web Desk) – Former U.S. Senate candidate Matt Bevin has announced he will be running for governor.
The Louisville businessman filed paperwork before this afternoon’s filing deadline. His running mate is Jenean Hampton, a veteran who, if elected, would become the first female African-American lieutenant governor in the state’s history.
Bevin identifies himself with the tea party. He’s the fourth republican to announce an intention to run for governor, making for a crowded primary race.
