Martin County Water District to get financial help
MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-The Martin County Water District is about to get some multi-million dollar help.
The Governor and Congressman Hal Rogers announced a $3.4 million dollar project Saturday aimed at helping the financially unstable water district fix some of its problems.
The project will fund improvements like adding a second water intake point and updating the Crum Reservoir.
It will be managed by the State’s Division of Abandoned Mine Lands and funded through grants.
