Man’s body found along Clay County road

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating the death of a man whose body was found Tuesday.

Investigators say 51-year-old Teddy William Smallwood was found in a ditch line along North Highway 421 in the Island Creek community around 11:30 a.m.

No foul play is suspected at this time, according to the sheriff.

Smallwood’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
