Man & Woman Charged with Cruelty to 13 Animals

An investigation into a case of animal cruelty has led to an arrest of a man and a woman in Warren County, according to officials.

On August 12, deputies said they executed a search warrant on Upper Iron Bridge Road in Oakland, where they allegedly found 13 animals. All of the animals were taken into protective custody.

Officials said they had received a number of complaints from residents about the animals being malnourished and not having proper drinking water, which led to the investigation.

Stephen Decker, 30, and Amber Decker, 29, have both been charged with second-degree animal cruelty.

Deputies tell us Stephen was arrested Tuesday morning at a family member’s home.

Amber was served Monday night at the Barren County Jail, where she had been booked on unrelated charges, according to officials.

An investigation is still underway, and more charges could be filed.
