Man trapped under ATV found dead
KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of man found trapped under an ATV.
According to officials, Knox County 911 received a call of a man being found deceased after being trapped under an ATV Saturday morning.
Family members of the man stated that they spoke to him around 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and he stated he was off to get lumber.
They had not heard from him since that time so they began searching for him which lasted all night.
He was located on Rufus Mills Ridge off of KY South 11 in the Barbourville area.
The Knox County Deputy Coroner identified the man as 59-year-old James E. Vaughn of Swan Pond.
