UPDATE: Arrest made in recent Lexington murder

UPDATE: 4/5/2018 LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An arrest has been made in the Trent Circle homicide investigation, according to Lexington Police.

Officers say they arrested 24-year-old Steven Young Thursday.

Police say he is charged with murder and is currently lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

UPDATE 3/19/18 2:00 PM–Lexington police are now treating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday morning at an apartment on Trent Circle as a homicide.

Police responded to the area of Trent Blvd. and Trent Circle around 5:15 Sunday morning for shots fired that struck several vehicles and a residence.

Shortly after the incident, police learned that a male gunshot victim, identified as 28 year old Sheddrick Dixon by the Fayette County Coroner, had been taken to St. Joseph East Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are following up on several leads and determined that Dixon appears to have been the target of the shooting.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man who was hospitalized with life threatening injuries after a shooting early Sunday morning in Lexington has now died from his injuries, according to the Fayette County Coroner.

Police say around 5:15 AM Sunday they found bullet holes in several cars and a home on Trent Circle near River Hill Park.

While officers were there, a gunshot victim showed up to St. Joe East.

The coroner says 28-year-old Sheddrick Dixon has now died from his injuries.

His death is being investigated as a homicide.
