Man shot by police upgraded to critical condition
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man shot by police officers Saturday in Barbourville has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.
State police say Brandon Moses lead officers on a high speed chase, finally stopping in a florist’s parking lot near a Rite-Aid where he grabbed a bystander.
Then later let him go and started walking towards officers with his hands behind his back.
An officer shot him after he reportedly repeatedly wouldn’t respond when asked to show his hands.
Instead, threatening to kill the officers.
Barbourville Police are now identifying the officers involved as: Adam Townsley, Eric Martin, and Donnie Broughton.
The department says all three have been placed on administrative leave, which is routine after a shooting.
