Man relies on canoe to get out of Lexington home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The heavy rain led to flooding today in southern Fayette County. And one man used a canoe to leave his home.

The man says he has had to use the canoe three times this year to get around a flooded Highwater Lane. The street is currently closed.

Bluegrass Airport in Lexington picked up 1.32 inches of rain from Monday evening to Tuesday morning. So far this month, Lexington has seen more than 10 inches of rain, making it the second wettest April on record for the city.
