Man pleaded guilty to killing Richmond mother scheduled be sentenced Thursday
GARRAD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Sentencing is set for a man who’s pleaded guilty in the murder of a 23-year old mother from Richmond, Savannah Spurlock.
According to court records, David Sparks entered the plea in Garrad County.
He was indicted last year on murder and other charges.
Police say Spurlock was last seen in January 2019, leaving a bar in Lexington with Sparks and two other men.
A tip about a foul odor led authorities to Sparks’ family property in Garrad County, where they discovered Spurlock’s remains.
According to court records, Sparks could spend up to 50 years in prison.
Sentencing is set for December 17th.
