Man, Houses Hit During Lexington Shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One man is shot on a lexington street and a home with four people inside is also hit.

Police say the believe it all started in the 100-block Curley Drive just before 11 p.m. Thursday.

They received several calls about shots fired in that area.

Then, just a few minutes later, a call about a man with gun shot wounds in front of Carson’s restaurant on East Main.

From what police were able to determine, the man was shot while walking on Curley Avenue and ran to East Main.

Police are not sure if the shooter was in a car or on foot.

Police also say several bullets struck two homes the man was walking near.

One of the homes was unoccupied at the time.

The other had four people inside – two adults and two teenagers – according to police.

A car in front of that home was also hit.

No one in the home was injured.

Police say the victim was the intended target in the shooting not anyone in the homes.

He is being treated at the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
