Man found shot in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was found shot Thursday evening on Florida Street in Lexington, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators say the shooting happened around 7:40 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.  The man’s name and age were not released.  Police described him as a young adult.

Investigators say witnesses told them they think the suspects left the shooting scene in a silver passenger car.

Witnesses told police one of the suspect’s was wearing a camouflage sweatshirt and the other was dressed in all black.

Police say they did detain two people for questioning, but they were later released.
