UPDATE: Man dies after shooting at apartment complex

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The man shot at Fayette Crossing Apartments last Tuesday on September 3rd has died, according to the Fayette County coroner.

The coroner’s report says 19-year-old Nathaniel Shelby died on September 7th from a gunshot wound.

The report also says his death is being investigated as a homicide. Details on what led to the shooting have not been released.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after being shot at an apartment complex late Tuesday night.

Investigators say an assault with a weapon call came in just before 11:00 p.m., at Fayette Crossing Apartments on East Reynolds Road.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released, was rushed to the hospital.

As of this writing, no suspects had been named or arrested as police continued to investigate.
