UPDATE: Man found in pond identified

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man found dead Monday in Whitley County has been identified.

State police say 38-year-old John T. Smith, of Whitley City, was found dead in a private pond off of Cox Smith Lane.

They say Smith was reported missing on Sunday.

The cause of death is pending autopsy.
