Man dies after shooting in downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Authorities say a 27-year-old man has died after a shooting in downtown Lexington.

The Fayette County coroner’s office said police were investigating gunfire near a parking garage early Sunday when someone dropped off James A. Blair at a nearby hospital.

Blair had a gunshot wound to his stomach and died about 10 hours later from his injuries.

Police say a possible person of interest has been identified in the slaying. They did not release any additional information.
