Man dies after being pulled from a fire in Bell County

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man died from injuries suffered in an early morning fire in Middlesboro Tuesday.

The Bell County coroner says the fire happened around 7:45 a.m. in an apartment on 24th Street.

According to the coroner, 28-year old Trey Branscome was alive when he was pulled out of the fire, but died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

An autopsy will be performed at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
