Arrest made in fatal Johnson County shooting
JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A 64-year-old Staffordsville man was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a 36-year-old man earlier in the day, according to investigators.
Johnson County Coroner J.R. Frisby says the man was shot between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Little Mud Lick community.
The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
John Trimble was arrested in the case and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, according to the facility’s website.
No other details surrounding the deadly shooting were released by investigators.
The coroner says an autopsy is scheduled Friday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
