Man charged with setting fire to mobile home he rented

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 32-year-old Somerset man is charged with arson for allegedly setting fire on May 30 to the mobile home he rented on Old Salts Road in Pulaski County.
According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, Ryan C. Daulton, of Old Salts Road in Somerset, is charged with second-degree arson first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief as a result of an investigation by Deputy Alex Wesley.
The sheriff said the investigation found Daulton hung gallon jugs of gasoline throughout the mobile home and placed more on the floor as well as propane tanks in different parts of the trailer. Science Hill firefighters entered the trailer not knowing of the hazards, according to the sheriff.
Fortunately no injuries were reported, the sheriff noted.
The residence was severely damaged by the fire.
Investigators have not released a motive.
Wesley was assisted by Lieutenant Richard Smith, the Somerset Police Department, the Science Hill Fire Department and Somerset Fire Department.
