UPDATE: Man pleads not guilty in Garrard murder case

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 24-year-old Danville man pleaded not guilty to murder charges during his arraignment Thursday.
Garrard County Circuit Court Judge Hunter Daugherty entered the plea for Justin Parson, who was indicted last month in the July 3 shooting death of 34-year-old Dustin Privett, also of Danville.
Daugherty left Parson’s bond at $100,000 cash and kept the public defender as his attorney. No trial date was set during Thursday’s brief hearing.

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 23-year-old Danville man will be arraigned next month after being indicted on murder charges.
A Garrard County grand jury indicted Justin Parson on murder charges stemming from the July 3 shooting death of 34-year-old Dustin Privett, of Danville.
The altercation occurred on Bryants Camp Road east of Danville just across the Dix River in Garrard County from Boyle County.
Parson will be arraigned August 5 in Garrard County Circuit Court.

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 23-year-old Danville man remains in jail on a $100,000 cash bond after being charged with murder in a Saturday night shooting death in Garrard County.
According to Kentucky State Police, Justin Parson was arrested in connection with the shooting death of 34-year-old Dustin Privett, of Danville, during an altercation.
The incident was reported just before 7 p.m. on Bryants Camp Road east of Danville just across the Dix River in Garrard County from Boyle County., the KSP said.
Parson remains in the Jessamine County Detention Center pending a court hearing at 1 p.m. July 8.
Privett’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Cameron Allen.
