Man charged with false imprisonment, child endangerment
LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lincoln County man has been charged with five counts of unlawful imprisonment after he allegedly held a woman and their four children against their will.
The man was charged Sunday evening after the woman was able to call Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies who came to the residence on U.S. 27 South and got the man to turn himself in without incident.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, at about 4 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the residence after the woman advised dispatch her boyfriend had been holding her and their four children against their will for several days.
The woman told dispatchers the man was heavily intoxicated and armed with a loaded firearm, deputies said.
Deputy Gary Brummett and Deputy Jon Davidson arrived and encountered the armed man in his vehicle in the driveway. Deputies were able to talk the man into exiting the vehicle without incident. The victims were found safe inside the home, deputies said.
Deputy Brian Cloyd is the investigating deputy.
In addition to unlawful imprisonment, the man is charged with four counts of endangering a minor and alcohol intoxication.
