Man charged with bringing handgun to school board meeting
ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lawrenceburg man is charged after allegedly carrying a handgun into an Anderson County Board of Education meeting earlier this month.
New footage released Tuesday by The Anderson News and Anderson County Schools shows Richard Sherman Cook Sr. walking in with the gun visible on his hip.
In the video, Cook is later seen being escorted out of the building by what appears to be Superintendent Sheila Mitchel and Director of Programs and Operations Ronnie Fields.
The Anderson News reports the day after the meeting Cook was charged with a felony for unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
