Man charged with murder after UTV accident that kills 17-year-old

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says that 24-year-old Jordan Obenauer was arrested on Sunday morning around 6:26 a.m.

He is being charged with murder, according to deputies.

He was arrested because of an overnight UTV crash, deputies say, which occurred off U.S.25, approx. 8 miles north of London.

Deputies say Obenauer was allegedly driving a 2016 Can-Am Maverick when it crashed resulting in the death of a 17-year-old passenger.
