Man charged in Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man has been charged in connection to a shooting that happened early Thursday morning near the University of Kentucky campus.
Officers were called to an apartment in the 300-block of Rose Street around 6 a.m. and found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police say there were seven people inside the apartment at the time. They say witnesses told them two men with guns wearing bandannas around their faces came into the apartment, there was a fight and shots were fired.
While officers were still investigating, police say a call came in about a man who was dropped off at a local hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say they determined the man, Jarrin Lee Davis, was involved in the shooting earlier and charged him with assault and robbery.
