Man charged in 4 bank robberies in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police arrested a man on Thursday and charged him in connection with four separate bank robberies in the city this year.

Investigators say 47-year old Ronnie Birdsong robbed the following banks:

-May 29 Chase Bank on Richmond Road
-November 13 Community Trust Bank on Richmond Road
-November 25 Forcht Bank on Southland Drive
-December 10 Central Bank on Tates Creek Road

Police say Birdsong was charged with four counts of Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and Possession of firearm by Convicted Felon. He was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
