Man charged with drug possession after firing rifle in home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man taken to jail in Fayette County Sunday greeted police with a shot from a rifle near Locust Avenue.

Officers say they were responding to a shots fired call when they heard what sounded like a gun shot from an apartment around 1 a.m.

Police say they went to the apartment where they found 29-year-old Joan Villalobos Corral fired one shot.

Police arrested him and charged him with wanton endangerment of a police officer and drug possession because they say they found what looked like cocaine in his house.
