Man Assaulted During Carjacking

A late-night robbery in Lexington left a man injured.
Police said a man was driving on Village Drive at 9 p.m. Tuesday when two men ran up to each side of the car, pointed guns at him and ordered him to stop.
They said when the victim stopped the suspects began punching and pistol-whipping him.
One of the suspects got into the car with the victim and they drove a short distance before the victim escaped.
But police said both suspects caught up with the victim and started beating him again.
They both got into the victim’s car and drove off.
The victim was treated for minor injuries.
Police located the car a short time later on Jeffrey Court.
