Man arrested for robbery, charged with wiping snot on officers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man they say tried to rob a Lexington gas station and then wiped snot on officers at Fayette County Detention Center.
According to his arrest citation, 21-year-old Carlos Montez Lamar tried to rob the Shell gas station on Stanton Way just before 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
The citation says he passed the clerk a note that said, “Give me the money,” and made threatening gestures.
When officers brought Lamar back to the Fayette County Detention Center, he “wiped mucus from his nose onto the uniform sleeves” of two officers, according to the citation.
Lamar is charged with 2nd degree robbery and two counts of third-degree assault on an officer.
He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
