Man arrested after all night stand-off in Pulaski Co.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-  According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, a man was arrested after an all night stand-off with deputies and Kentucky State Police.

Deputies say that Tuesday evening they were dispatched to a domestic dispute involving 55-year-old Ange M. Lane, and his estranged wife, 42-year-old Nicole Lane.

Deputies say Ms. Lane had left the home and went to a neighbor’s house after allegedly being assaulted by her husband. She told deputies that Ange Lane threatened to kill her and any law enforcement officer if she called the police. Ms. Lane also told deputies that her husband was heavily armed.

Pulaski County EMS personnel treated Nicole Lane at the neighbor’s home for lacerations to the head and various other indications of having been beaten.  She was taken to Lake Cumberland Hospital for treatment.

Deputies secured the area around the residence.  Ange Lane refused repeated requests from officers to exit his home and surrender.  Mr. Lane, as well as his 16-year-old son and a female acquaintance, 32-year-old  Amber Adams, age 32 remained inside the home.

The stand-off with Mr. Lane continued through the night until Chief Deputy Jeff Hancock contacted the Kentucky State Police for additional assistance.  In the early morning hours on Wednesday, members of the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team arrived to assist the Sheriff’s Deputies and Troopers.
