Man arrested in connection with fatal accident
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal car accident that occurred Friday night.
Police have arrested Ronald Smith, 39. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, no registration plates, and failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense.
Smith is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
On May 10, 2024, around 11 p.m. officers were called to the area of Winchester Rd and Bahama Rd for an injury collision.
Upon arrival, officers transported Billy Williamson Jr, 54, to a local hospital, where he later died.
