Man arrested following machete attack

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man pulled out a machete and attacked a woman in Lexington, according to police.

Court documents say 46-year-old James Bost was arguing with the woman in an apartment on September 16 when he grabbed a machete he kept by the couch and cut her left thigh.

She suffered a large laceration to her leg.

The victim got up to leave the apartment but fell. She was able to get back up, stumble out the door and get help, according to court documents.

Bost was interviewed by police and they say he admitted to using the machete to cut the woman.

Bost was charged with assault and tampering with physical evidence.
