Man arrested for DUI after leading deputies on pursuit

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Laurel County deputies say a pursuit lead to a DUI arrest on KY 1376 West around 2 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say 26-year-old Freddie Scalf Jr. was driving a red Chevrolet pickup truck while speeding on Arthur Ridge Road. An officer activated his emergency equipment to try and get Scalf to stop. They say Scalf finally drove into a ditch and into a field. Scalf refused to get out of the car.
