Man arrested, charged with 4 counts of burglary

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man was arrested today, and police say he was connected to multiple commercial and residential burglaries over the past month.

Investigators at the Lexington Police Department charged Seth C. Dinsmore with four counts of burglary, one count of theft by unlawful taking from a vehicle, and one count of receiving stolen property.

On May 29, police say a burglary report was filed the day after Dinsmore had applied for a job at a business, then didn’t show up for his shift.

The investigation determined Dinsmore had broken the front door of the business and stole money from the cash register.

Three days later, on June 1, police say the same business was burglarized a second time by Dinsmore, who used the same method of entry to steal more money from cash registers.

On May 9 and May 13, 2016, Police say Dinsmore stole tools from a pickup truck and later sold them to a pawn shop.

The investigation is ongoing, and police ask anyone with further knowledge of the events to please call police at (859) 258-3600.
