Man arrested in Carroll County on Florida murder warrant

GHENT, Ky. (WTVQ) — State Police say they arrested a man in Carroll County Wednesday evening, who is wanted for murders in Florida.

According to police, 39-year-old McKinsie Lyons killed a man and a woman in Hillsborough County, Florida back in January, after a burglary turned violent.

They say that woman was five months pregnant and her unborn baby was also killed.

Police say Lyons was arrested at a Valero gas station in Ghent without incident.

He is not expected to face any new charges in Kentucky.
