Man arrested after short standoff with Wayne County deputies
Wayne County, Ky. (WTVQ) — A man has been arrested after a short standoff with police.
Krockett K. Dehaai of Monticello, Ky., has been charged by Wayne County deputies on multiple charges including unlawful imprisonment and assault.
According to Wayne County Sheriff, Tim Carton, on Saturday deputies responded to a domestic violence call on Black rd.
A juvenile female called the Wayne County Dispatch Center, saying her mother was being hit and choked and was being held in a bedroom by her mother’s boyfriend and he was carrying a gun on his hip.
After receiving the suspect’s name, deputies learned he was a convicted felon.
Deputies were able to negotiate the release of the female being held. After speaking with deputies on the porch, Dehaai went back inside.
He later came back outside and was arrested.
He is being held in Wayne County Detention.
