Man arrested after allegedly throwing knife at deputy
PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Pulaski County man is facing charges after he reportedly hurt a deputy by throwing a knife.
Brian Herrin, 47, was arrested after allegedly hurting a Pulaski County officer with a knife.
According to a release, on Thursday night emergency services were dispatched to a home on fire, where they found that Herrin had barricaded himself inside.
Police say that Herrin threatened them by waving multiple knives at them before throwing one at a deputy, striking him in the head.
Police later entered the home and tased Herrin before arresting him.
He is facing charges of assault, wanton endangerment and resisting
The deputy suffered minor injuries, while three other officers were treated at the scene for smoke and flame exposure.
A volunteer firefighter was also transported to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for smoke inhalation.
Herrin is currently being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
