Man accused of stealing from home where he was house-sitting
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In Laurel County, a man is accused of stealing from a home where he was house-sitting and inviting underage kids over and serving them alcohol, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say 35-year old Donnie Hammons is accused of stealing an impact gun, a Yeti cooler, three iPhones, an iPad, a Mac Book and a firearm. They say he sold some of the items at a pawn shop. Investigators say the stolen items were valued at more than $1,000.
Investigators also say Hammons invited four people to the house, three of them underage, where they all drank alcohol.
Hammons was arrested and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
