Man accused of several vehicle thefts in Pulaski County arrested
SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to several vehicle thefts in Pulaski County was arrested Monday, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 32-year old James Paul Bedwell, of Eubank, was initially arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County in connection to the theft of a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. Investigators say that vehicle was found in Science Hill on August 25, 2019. Deputies say the vehicle had been spray painted black everywhere but the hood.
Deputies say as Bedwell was questioned about the Lincoln County case, he was also charged with stealing a 2016 Polaris Razor Side-by-Side that sustained a lot of damage after it was stolen in Pulaski County.
They say Bedwell was also charged with stealing a 1994 Ford F-350 dump truck from Fred Phelps Road in Eubank.
Investigators say Bedwell was charged with stealing a pickup truck on Highway 39 on August 25, 2019. Deputies say that pickup truck was recovered from a creek near Gilliland Lane. They say it had the wooden rails removed, the tires were spray painted along with the hood and rear fender.
Deputies say Bedwell was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center. They say he could face additional charges, along with other people, as the investigation continues.
