Man accused of having parties for underage kids with drugs and alcohol
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Pike County man is accused of throwing parties for underage kids with drugs and alcohol, including his own son, according to a report in the Appalachian-News Express.
The report cites court documents that say the investigation by Pikeville Police began as a potential case of human trafficking involving 51-year old Anthony Baker, which included allegations he was bringing in underage girls from Louisville and from out-of-state.
In late May, the report says court documents show police were called to a party at Baker’s house at 5:30 a.m. and officers found approximately 50 people in the parking lot causing a disturbance.
The report says some of the people fought with officers and each other and that Baker came outside and started a disturbance. The report says Baker resisted arrest.
The disorder was so big, the Pikeville Police Department’s first shift had to be called in to help, according to the report.
Baker was arrested June 26, 2019, on several charges of unlawful transaction with a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to the report.
