UPDATE: Man accused of killing girlfriend pleads not guilty
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – William Pomeroy, the man Lexington police say fatally shot his girlfriend, pleaded not guilty in court today.
No bond was set for Pomeroy.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 26.

A Lexington man accused of murdering his girlfriend is scheduled to go before a judge on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
Police say 45-year-old William Pomeroy shot and killed 43-year-old Amy Koegel on Friday.
Court documents say Koegel was killed at around 8:40 a.m.
Police say Koegel’s body was found about 20 minutes later in the backyard of a home on Pinkney Drive.
Court documents also say Pomeroy and Koegel had children together.
