Man Accused Of Helping Fugitive Escape In Court
The man accused of helping a fugitive was in court Friday.
Police say John Lee Williams, 42, helped John Buckley, Jr. get out of Lexington.
Buckley is the man police say left his rape trial, took off his ankle bracelet and disappeared.
Williams was arraigned in Fayette District Court, and pleaded not guilty.
The Fayette County Sheriff says they’re unsure where the fugitive is at this point, but that they don’t think he’s in Kentucky anymore.
Williams is charged with hindering apprehension.
