Man accused of having drugs and counterfeit money in car

HICKORY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop in Graves County landed a man in jail on drug and other charges, according to Kentucky State Police.

Investigators say on Wednesday a Trooper saw 32-year old Derrek Dickson, of South Fulton, Tennessee, commit multiple traffic violations just north of Mayfield on KY 1241.

KSP says a search of Dickson’s car turned up approximately 1.1 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, suspected gabapentin pills, drug paraphernalia and several counterfeit $20 bills.

Dickson was taken to the Graves County Jail on charges of Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd or Subsequent Offense (> or = 2 Grams of Methamphetamine), DrugParaphernalia – Buy/Possess, Possession of Marijuana,Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument, 3rd Degree, and other traffic offenses, according to State Police.
